Together with UNDP regional office, Information Officers from UNDP Headquarters, Kigali and Bujumbura, UNIC NIO participated in the organization of the media forum organized at the Sixth Africa Governance Forum (AGF VI) in Kigali - Rwanda on 9-11 May 2006. The forum was organized with the theme,  “Implementing the African Peer Review Mechanism – Challenges and Opportunities”. The event brought together African journalists from each of the 25 participating countries, as well as a handful of regional and international reporters based in Africa. UNIC contributed also to the preparations for the media forum by helping UNDP identify candidates and move to the selection of journalists from Burundi.
