In commemoration of the World Refugee Day, UNIC Bujumbura co-organized with the UNHCR the screening of a documentary called "Le retour d'Alphonse" ("The Return of Alphonse") in the UNIC conference room on 20 June 2006. The documentary is about a Burundian family, which returned from exile in Tanzania.

The government representatives, the representatives of the Congolese refugee communities in Burundi, the UNCT representatives and the media representatives attended the screening.   After the screening some Burundians repatriated from exile and Congolese refugees in Burundi made testimonies on life in exile and refugee camps. The documentary was co-produced with the National Television (RTNB), the UNHCR and ONUB.
