UNIC organized along with UNIFEM, UNCT and NGOs a series of activities to mark the 16 days of activism against violence on women, among them, a press conference in UNIC on the above subject on 4 December 2006 and a two-day-workshop with the members of the Burundian Parliament on the issue of Rape and Sexual Violence in Burundi which also took place in UNIC from 5 to 6 December 2006.
